Car Values
I have been noticing that there have been a lot of Z/28's for sale lately,
I thought the prices were a bit on the low side, so I did a KKB valuation. looks like the for sale prices are in line with KKB Quote I got for my car. So with that said, My 2014 Z/28 is worth about as much as a New Chevy Bolt Electric Car. I have decided if that is all its worth than I'm going to drive the Shit out of it and not worry about how many miles or track days are on it. Just my thoughts. |

I agree completely on the value of the 2014 and 2015 Z/28. Who would have ever thought that a car of this caliber would decrease in value like it did. I am with everyone that will now make this car into a driver. I myself have just changed my mind on doing so.

Here's some Black Book info. I think some are letting them go too cheap but that's a personal decision depending on the situation. I've been asked several times, "Are your cars an investment?" To which I reply, "Yes. A poor one."

I just bought a brand new 2015 off the showroom floor in Meridian, MS for 48,900. It will be delivered tomorrow. Once I get the wrappers off, I plan to drive the hell out of this Z/28 and never look back. I'm getting too old to worry about future collectibility. The time is now and this life is too short to worry about KBB.

If you want to see someone completely lose their sh!t over the value of his car, check this out. The funniest thing is, the poor guy must be so distraught, he's never heard from again.

By the time the Z/28 becomes a collectable I'll gone by by....
I've had quite a few great cars just to practically give them away I'm tracking the car and really enjoying the car It's fun prepping the car for the next event Near future the car goes to Katech for engine upgrades Knowing what is the car's purpose is the reason I bought it Not worried about the $$$ value of the vehicle The true value in it is the enjoyment you get out of it Keeping and using the Zapper...... |

You think ours are depreciating?
I almost bought a 2010 ZR1 with $12k worth of go fast goodies from a buddy. Car had 12k on it, pristine! Sticker was $125,000 I could have gotten it for $59,000.. |

I just bought my new 2015 black, ac car for $50,000 in Houston after it sat on the dealers lot for two years so I think the bottom of the depreciation curve on these cars is still to be found. You could buy a pristine '69 Z in the late 80's for well under $10k. Those prices only started going crazy in the late 90's and early 2000's. I suspect coinciding with the advancing age and increasing economic ability of those who wanted one when they were younger but couldn't afford one or just had other priorities like raising children. Given the demographic of most of the new Z owners I am aware of I suspect most of us will be gone before our cars are worth more than we paid for them if they ever are. I'm with ZapperZ, drive the heck out of them and enjoy them while you can.
