12.6 Run No CAI

This is a run a few weeks back in OKC. Da was 2k with a temp of 65. Mods on the car are ARH/Cats, Magnaflow Catback, and custom tuning by Trifecta performance. CAI and Nitto 20" DR's coming soon. Hope to run in Tulsa on the 5th of December with the DR's. The shift profile is 1-2 @5900k 2-3 @ 6200k and 3-4 @ 6400k. I actually hit the rev (6600k) on this run because I held third.

Nice Run... the tuning has paid off. Can't wait to see what Vararam will do.

That truck was pretty quick too.

We ran three times. We split two and the lights malfunctioned on one. My car actually ran a faster time than his each run, however his reaction time got him a red light during one run and a .0027 the next. He was good to say the least. I was definitely in the spot light that night. Everyone was sure it was a manual and I had more mods. I ran 12 times against a mixture of GT's, a 72 challenger, rice burners and this guy. This was my only close race. I think I will see a 12.2 or 12.3 in Tulsa.

Me too. I tried to get them to send me one before the next race but they said sorry.

Yeah my dad is a little old and not a very good photographer but I still appreciate him staying out late for me.. I'll have my wife record the next ones if she goes.

First off great times.
And about the vararam. The DA would need to be the same for a real comparison. Even better would be to run a couple tenth faster with a higher DA.
In a perfect world, he would run it without the Vararam and then with the Vararam (same day, same conditions, same 60' time).

I'll be looking for a new intake some time in the future. I'd like to see a real test (not done by Vararam) of the intake. (same day, same track, same conditions, same 60' times - with the intake and without the intake)

Great work. Good to see someone be able to tame their car.

You do realize that the DA changes all day long, So that is almost impassible, You can get Almost the same put not all the time.

I would love to do this and that is definitely a goal. My plan is to leave in the stock box and just remove the tunnel. This will allow me to run both intakes and just swap my tunes. I don't for see it taking any longer than 30 min to go between the two so same track same day is doable. DA will more than likely be different because of the winter season, but it should not very by that much. I am hoping for at least two tenths, then I will know for sure it was money well spent. I am pretty far down the list so it will probably be January before I can do this type of test. By then I'm sure someone would have done it already.

The DA doesn't change that much in an hour or so (unless a cold front blows through). As long as the DA is reasonable close it won't matter.

But if you're planning on running the car at 3pm and then waiting until 9 pm at night, that could definately affect track times. I've seen cars run a couple tenth faster at night vs the mid day.

That's why you track and adjust times per DA so all things are equal... I think with Wackers runs are very consistent now and he should be able to see a true DA adjusted difference on the track with Vararam...

Isn't that what everyone has been wanting to see. All I've heard is stationary dyno is not going to show the true benefits from this CAI.

If I were Vararam I would move him up the list...
