I feel the same way. I've always installed mud flaps and ordered through ScottyCamaro's Parts guy in the U.S. (I paid about $200.00 CAD) so that was a bit more reasonable.

Here in Canada the GM Parts folks go a bit crazy on the price gouging. It's a shame as I would prefer of course to shop locally but not at almost 3 times the cost. I guess they figure we have no other option but that's not the case.

Just order them on line through the website. If you cant get them to canada for some reason you can send me a message and I can order them for you and we can work out the details on shipping it up to you. gl

Wizzer-Looks sharp! I am waiting a CGM 2LT right now. Nice Dog as well
Just hope he/she didn't "Mark" them before you put them on! Getting the splash guards for mine as well. Also ordered the Satin-Nickel fuel door. that was the first picture I had seen of a CGM with it! Thanks & Enjoy

I know they protect the car, but I don't like how they detract from the nice lines of the car. To each his own. They're not for me. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I also agree about the fuel doors. They look out of place. Why didn't GM just put a fuel door on the Camaro that has a latch inside the car to pop it open?

BTW it's WAY more substantial than the original too.. not that anyone cares about that aspect....

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...

3 things about this thread... &...

1st, I can definately see the desire to put these on. These cars can kick up plenty of debris without even trying.

2nd, I think that darker color cars (CGM, IBM, BLK) can pull it off better than the lighter colors (SIM, SW, RY) ...but even then the rear flaps still look out of place.

3rd, I thought I wanted a polished gas cap, until I saw it. I think part of the problem is... where it is. Put a shiney circle in that spot and it looks out of place. The stock cap just blends into the hip well, and doesn't distract.

oh and...

When member kdbolt70 came over the other night, he did not notice the splash guards on my RJT.

I had to point them out.

An issue with it distracting from the lines of the car are simply that you are looking for them in the pictures, and the pictures have moved your point of view toward the splash guards.

Anyhow, I like their purpose, even having them you will still get road dirt on the car.

You know you hit it head on there. The focal point in the picture is the flaps and in real life that is not the case. I really dont even see them if I were to take a quick look at the car. I do wonder how long the tape they put on there (oem) will last though. Tape gives me the impression of a temp fix or something. Anyhow the only thing I would do for your car there is go under it with a can of high temp BBQ grill paint and black out those silver exhaust cans there. I did that to mine right away cause I would look at my car and the first thing I would notice is the silver hanging out. Now that they are black everything flows better IMO.

thanks for the comments on my thread I enjoy reading both sides.

I guess those steer horns I planned on bolting to the roof wont be a very big hit either. lol
