Catch Can in Winter?
i'm a daily driver i drive about 70 mi. to and from work daily and have heard a catch can isn't neccasarily a good idea in below freezing temperatures. Owning a V6 i also know the catch can is a good idea because of the blow by we get in our cars. So i'm chiming in on wether or not it's a good idea or a bad idea from those more informed and or experienced then myself in winter driving with a catch can.

GM doesn't recommend use of the 1LE-offered catch can in temps below freezing. I've seen no such warning on the aftermarket cans.
Do a search and you'll find good info on someone who noted the oil difference in the catch can from summer to winter weather, but no concerns if you buy the right can. I think he had an RX. For what it's worth I just put an RX can on my 2SS last night, and I drive mine year round up here in Northern Indiana.

Temperatures obviously arnt the same where I'm from versus where you are Op, but when I use to daily drive my car even when it got to around 20-30's I had good build up of oil ingestion in the valleys of my intake manifold, so I would suggest one
Rx (revextreme) is the way to go, contact Tracy (Sc2150) on here and he will take you to school
