The ZL1 Camaro has wider tires and other attributes which results in higher drag reducing its top speed. Also the ZL1 Camaro does 180MPH at 5,200rpms (manual transmission car) though I wouldn't be shocked to see them easily beating 180MPH in the right condition. Also its possible that it is electronically limited to 180MPH for manual and 184MPH for auto. Not something that a little more power won't fix though, give it 700BHP and watch 180MPH fall.. |

toilets...I'm not sure, but I heard on one of the GM videos (can't recall which) that it simply keeps it "in" the proper RPM range (a tuned feature to avoid such blips, or make them controlled and predictable)... will be nice to see what folks can really do with this on a road coarse.. someone has to have done this on the ring (just saying)..... |

I like driver involvement but the auto is badass. Save the stick!

I don't care about the auto tap shift
I would rather have downshift rev matching like the Nissan 370Z on the manual and maybe a better feel between shifts. I have my experience with a 4L60E transmission (rebuilt it 2 time) and still broken. plus it is more fun driving a manual sorry for the auto bashing, but i feel like the manual is getting a little neglected. they even put in tech that stutter it (skip shift). |

i agree that the auto MAY be a little quicker than the manual, but i too think the manual is alot funner to drive, afterall, how many of us are REALLY gonna race it on the track regularly?...that said,i would be happy to have a ZED-L1 in either auto or stick,
