Why do they use the 2300 supercharger instead of the 1900? I thought the 1900 was good up to 850hp engines.

the 2300 allows for more HP as it is larger. You could ask for a 1900 if that is what you want. Personally, I will stick with the 2300, thanks. |

I am going with the 550 for the L99. GM has not told anyone yet but I heard from an engineer that the axles almost cannot handle the stock power and also the drive shaft has issues with the carrier bearing. I didn't want to have custom axles and a drive shaft made. So I am going with the 550 instead of the 650 which is the same kit as the 570 only difference is the L99 versus LS3 about 20hp. Next year I may upgrade to the 650 when the heavy duty drive shafts come out. Check out this you tube video with my new MBRP 3" cat back and a Roto-Fab CAI.

LPE has an upgrade for the axles. Price is around $1850.00 or so.. there is also a group buy on camaro5 for the upgraded axles for $1590.00 in the comercial vendor section i think.
I am pretty sure Santa has me on the good list and will bring a set of the halfshafts to me.. along with a nice set of Forged rims. I will take it easy on my car until the spring.. when it is complete. |

I think I am going to be the LAST one to see it. It will be o.k. because it will be transformed by then.
I spoke with Tim at LPE today.. they will start on my car next week. He was commenting on how nice the Red Jewel color was.. As long as I get to test it before winter, I'll be happy. |

Speed, What is the break in cycle for a LPE prepped car?
did LPE give you any specific's for break in with your paperwork? I don't have a problem with varying the rpm's. I hope we can go over 4K rpm's.. that is where the power will be! Going to have to go on a long ride by the beach to get some easy miles on it first.. before turning it loose on the track. Damn.. I want some new beefy halfshafts so I can go drag racing. Too bad I already blew all of this year's car budget. |

Yeah I heard they were out now. The drive shaft is still in the R&D stage. You should be able to click on the link above and go right to the video. The other way is to go to youtube.com and do a search for aarog5606 and scroll down to Paul's Camaro. Hopefully you can post the pics from Kevin.
