POT holes

Still amazes the crap out of me how I pay WAY too much money to register all my vehicles in this lovely state of CA, to have the BEST weather in the entire world (bar none) and have the WORST roads in the country!! In FL, it rains 80% more than here (tropical climate) their worst roads are better than our best! I'm pissed that I ran thru an unavoidable 6in deep pothole. Shit like this just pisses me off!

Who knows if my car is damaged from this senseless bullshit! Usually I'm quick enuf to see the hole and take evasive action, but with tight traffic and so forth they sometimes sneak up on ya.

Am I the only one that this pisses off?

I was in California last summer. If you want to feel better about your roads, then come to Ohio in the winter.

PS - that is a pretty bad pot hole!

They cannot be any worse than Arkansas roads. There was a cut-through street (residential area) in my neighborhood that took almost a year to repave (less than a mile) and the paving lasted about 6 months...I swear it had to be the crappiest paving job ever. Now's the road is uneven and full of potholes. This is not uncommon around here either, sadly. My guess is they do a crappy job on the roads for the job security of repairing them. Sure seems this way. Sorry about hitting the pothole Tarl...hope your baby is unharmed

Or PA.

If I have time tonight, I'll post a local news story about some 12 inch deep potholes....all on the same road, very near each other. Kinda like a minefield..heh.

Ohio is bad too. I go up there frequently for my cousins MMA fights. Definately not my most favorite drive in the world.

Yea, I think it's fine, just the sheer shock of hitting it, the THUMP and so forth....sheesh! Sadly, it prob won't be the last one I ever hit but hopefully for awhile.

No potato chip to the rim, or any contact as far as I can see but cant crawl under there to see if anything else might have gotten tweaked.

So for now I'll say "no damage" and put that hole on my driving radar!

" POT holes "

If only you could smoke em

They are worse in the snow belt as when all they do is a crappy patch job, on the first snow, every single patch job will be plucked out, like a scab ready to come lose by the plow trucks.

So now the road you use to know, is full of hidden mines.

Its starting to get bad in Charlotte. This winter has been a little rough on the roads, and on top of that, we only have like 18 plows for the whole county!

I'll bet real money that no state can be worse than Minnesota. The roads freeze and heave all winter and then bust to pieces every spring. They dump 'cold patch' in them that sticks to your car and chips the paint.

No... Nothing is worse than a sinkhole that can pop up at anytime dead in front of u when cruising! One guy was working on his car in the driveway and went inside, when he came out a sinkhole just swallowed his car! He was very lucky not to be under it

I live in CA for six years, you could not pay me to move back there, no money what's so ever. I'll take IL anytime. Ca was way over priced on everything.
