My wife bought those little whistle things, never put em on. Maybe now is a good time.

My thoughts exactly, lol.

When I was 17, I hit a deer at 45mph on my Suzuki GS 450L. The deer and I both walked away that night, her with a headlight shaped scar on her hip, me with a totalled bike and a fractured metatrsuel (spell?) bone. Helmet saved me that night. To make a long story short, about 5 weeks later, girlfriend's uncle calls me, says they have something for me. I pull up and hanging in the garage is that damn doe! Her uncle had got it during bow season, lol, on her left hip was my headlight indention! 20 pds of summer sausage, 15 pds of steak/hamurger later, guess who had the last laugh?? Hell yeah, she tasted good!!

Anyway, glad you're okay. Car is an easy fix, even if we when we don't have it.

Well, it happened to me.

Deer hit the back panel of my car. Huge dent, nothing compared to yours.

Still have to deal with the inconvenience of getting it repaired.

I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Make sure you insurance company lists this as a "comp" loss, not "collision".
An accident with an "animal or caused by an Animal" is not a collision claim- at least not here in Ct. This may affect your future rates and current deductable.
As far as used parts or aftermarket parts goes, no insurance company would repair a current model/year vehicle with anything but new OEM parts.

Glad you are ok, and the Camaro can be fixed...
The more land that is developed, the less room the animals have to live...such a shame...
It is a danger to man, and animals too.................
There are just too many deer out there. Animal rights activists have protected far too many deer over the years and hunting season has been lessened and the amount of deer you can kill per season has also lessened. Dear season should be longer in order to avoid these senseless accidents.

I couldn't agree more. I see probably 10-15 on the side of the road every day around here. Atleast around here after you use all your tags you can go back and get 2 more for like $5... and keep going back. I just need a bigger freezer now......
