Next mod option

So I have reached the time for the next mod for my 2015 2SS L99.

so far I have bolted up a full NPP, vararam CAI and power wedge, custom tune, lowering springs, sway bars.

I want just a bit more power now as my buddy just went with a stock 6th gen.

I know long tube headers are an option but I don't really want to be super loud and obnoxious. I also don't want to stink like gas. i believe LTH can net me about 30hp

I also hear high flow cats are an option too and can net me around 20 hp

Long term goals are not to build a race car as this is my daily and I plan on keeping it for a long time but I want this SS to be tastefully modified and fun on the back roads.

Any advice?

i'm starting out with my mods, your the first I've seen with the vararam CAI and wedge. Since you already added a tune, think you can give me insight on weather the wedge is worth the money on top of the vararam CAI.

LT's w/hi flo cats are not loud with a factory exhaust.

Long tubes are a good option. I cant speak to weather they smell with high flow cats because im catless. On my subaru i had a high flow on it tho, it would smell when you first started it up. As the car warmed up the smell would go away. I guess the cat just needed to heat up. I have NPP exhaust on mine and with the long tube headers its not too bad loud wise, i have a mild to wild switch so i just turn it on and off when i want.

I wanna say I was one of the first to have the new CAI on camaro5 but thats besides the point. The Vararam vr-drx is a great CAI... I love the power and how it woke my car up before I ever had a tune.

I'm not sure how the wedge really effects the car but I did read with just testing the wedge it did make about 8-10 hp for real. I would say that every little bit is worth it in the bolt on game.

Go long tube headers with high flow cats. You won't be disappointed. If you're concerned about it being too loud, get a mild to wild switch so you can control when to open and close the NPP muffler flaps.

LT headers through the stock exhaust are not at all annoying. It'll get loud when you're on it, but on the highway they're just as quiet as stock.

Long-tube headers, HF cats and a tune is my recommendation.

It does, but I just put my windows up a bit more and it isn't too bad. I have just longtubes as far as exhaust is concerned and it definitely opens up on acceleration, but isn't really loud otherwise.

Now I am probably way different because of what I have to work with vs your car.

1st I wanted power then full suspension. Turbos, list goes on.
Now the nor I drive the v6 the more its present its a wicked long-distance cruiser car.

More then anything I want reliability. Just simple supporting mods/ (reliability)
Headers sounds like a good start with high flow cats.

Have you thought about some chassis bracing. There is some sick kits out there for a decent price

Long tube headers and hi flo cats are a very nice upgrade and with the stock exhaust should be a nice sound without being annoying. An inexpensive upgrade is to switch to 3.91 gears this will give you a nice kick in the pants without killing gas mileage. You will need a trans tune to rectify speedo and shift points but if you get it installed via dealer they will tune trans as part of install. Check with service department before to make sure of course.
