And I thought my week was bad! I was driving in North Texas and got blasted by straight line winds last week. It blew ALL the crap from the side of the freeway into my car at 85mph +the speed I was traveling. Took her to the body shop yesterday... I have to have my front end painted, hood painted, mirrors painted, front fenders painted. Headlights replaced (all dinged up).
It was a freak storm and it wasn't even raining when it happened. |

I plan on purchasing a hail blanket from a company called Hail blankets. Living in Southwest Oklahoma we get plenty of unannounced storms and this company claims their blankets protect vehicles from hail damage. Here is the website: www.hailblankets.com. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...glad your car made it through THAT!!!!!!!!...i saw that storm on the news last night and never even imagined anyone's "beloved Camaro" would have to withstand that "test"... You are a very lucky guy...count your blessings on the Camaro holding up ok in that "freak" storm!!!!!!!...   Again, Thank You GM and all the engineers, designers, and the great folks at Oshawa for building us such an amazing car...

My dad's neon got F'd up by hail at one point, here is a pic of me holding one of the hail balls:
The repair costs were about $2000, but we also got the car repainted silver.
