My Car has not moved for 8 days!

My car arrived in Morton IL, on Wed, then went to Riverdale IL for Interchange Thursday, and now is in Blue Island IL, since Friday!!!

I live in Louisiana, so its actually gotten farther away from me!
Is this normal? Does anyone have any Idea of what might be going on? My rail car number is ETTX 853614. Do they make updates on the weekend?

I guess I'm getting really stressed because if I do not recieve my car next week, I will have to wait more weeks to get it, because I have to go away for work for 2 weeks!!!

If any body can give me an explination, or a little encouragement, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Wed, Sep 23 update: Still in Illinois! AHHHHHHH

Mine also sat for 10 days before it was shipped, it was shipped on 9/12 and now has been in Illinois for 5 days... The wait just gets more horrible as it goes along...

They do update on the weekend, it was nerve racking but the longest mine stayed somewhere was 3 days, but it did that twice. Not to mention mine went all the way down to georgia then back up to sc then to me in nc. I called litterally every 2 hours for tracking, i had the numbered sequence memerized.

You sound like me, I call every 2 hours ... Its getting harder and harder to hear "Arrived at... Blue Island Illinois" I could throw the phone when I hear that... its been a long 18 days since my car was built...

Ah well I guess it could be worse.

Mine sat in Riverdale for what seeemed like an eternity....
Not sure about going to LA but mine switched to Union Pacific somewhere around the Riverdale area. Have you tried calling UP. 1-800-877-5123? I actually have an ETA to Mira Loma CA 9-23-09.

Hey BB,
My car was built the day after yours and mine hasn't even left the factory yet. So I don't have the tracking pains you do as of yet. I feel for you. I just wish the car would get here already.

make that six days...
we are calling the Rail Company, once your car is built and you have a VIN, you can see what rail car they put your camaro on. You can then call the rail co. and track it, each step of the way, only it looks as though mine will never get out of Illinois...
Send me a PM if you have any other questions.
