315 Pilot SS out back...still not enough.

You'd never drive like that...but you could if wanted.
Yeah Pat G spec'd it for me. I told him I wanted something that did not give up low rpm torque but still worked up top with the YSi. It is not an all out cam, but I told him I didn't want an all out effort.

If anyone wants a great performer, with totally stock idle etc....LPE's GT9 is hard to beat.

But really, there are dozens of shelf cam options that will get you there. You just dont need to do daft things with a YSI bolted to the engine. It's just gonna make power.

A bad cam will only hurt it, although it should be hard to pick a bad cam.

been following your build since I joined in 2017. I have not had anything of value to add as you, Ted, Frank, Stevie and others are beyond my knowledge on this type of build. Just wanted to tip my hat to one hell of a car..drop another video if you get any dyno footage and or street pulls. Would love to hear that thing WOT!

Thanks for comments. I will get a video next time I am down in GA. I am not really that knowledgeable. Just do a lot of reading and study build threads. It helps that I like to do stuff myself. I find it relaxing, I am just not very fast. You should see my 1100hp turbo foxbody build for drag radial. Still in pieces. I have a new dart based 416ci un-assembled short block to go with the new BW S500-88SX (it weighs 68lbs)...

Credit to my wife for letting me have the toys...

I told him didn't want an all out cam. I suspect the you have more exhaust duration due to your 427ci. I am still stock 376ci. My cam has the newest TSP endurance lobe design that is easy on the valvetrain and good for .615 lift on 1.7 rockers with zero overlap. You can really feel the boost start at about 2800rpm and then it is a freight train.

I'd hope that's 114+4.

That should have very good road manners.

For sure typo. Can't tell there is a cam in it at idle. No real surging and pretty much zero overlap. Got rid of the TSP 231/236 when I went procharger and that was a parking lot nightmare at times until I got the tuning just right.

He designed it for a 416 (was orignally going to go TSP shortblock) but when I went bigger with ERL he said it would work fine. Mine picks up exactly like that at 2800 you start to feel it, normal driving I am shifting at 2k anyways. Dropping the pulley size over the winter hoping to get into the 19-20 psi range @ 6800 from around 16 now, so it will be interesting to see the effect on the powerband.

Yep in sixth from 1100rpm you can just speed up no need to downshift just don't stab the throttle. Stabbing from 3rd at 2500rpm is quite fun!

I have to say the ARH LT's with the 3" MBRP catless cat back sounds badass....

At certain rpms, you can hear billet blower impeller whistle like a turbo too

I recently installed one of these Track Day filters. Made the blower much louder. like you said, it sounds like a turbo spooling up. It's quite loud.
