SCAMMER COALMINER98 - aLz1

I posted a ad wanting to buy a supercharger setup. Was approached by this guy with a Lsa setup. Was initially going to meet in person at the Tennessee border because he was in North Carolina I am in illlinois. Decided unfortunately to jus go ahead and ship it. Was given two shipping numbers 3 days in. The numbers when checked and had info was for a shipment from Cali to North Carolina. Messaged them they claim to be at work and there girl mixed things up. He was out working and his girl was in Cali. I never could get a good tracking number so I opened a dispute with PayPal. Now during the dispute this person submitted conversation claiming to have made a zl1 wheel transaction and had a set sent to a mark holland supposed board members brother here on camaro5 Alz1.
I did not try to buy a set of wheels. I tried to buy a supercharger. This clown is trying to confuse the two and acting like he completed the transaction to keep the money.

Well this one should be easy. Screenshot the PayPal info he gave you and the payment you sent.

I’ll put it all on blast after the PayPal dispute is settled.

Joined in Feb with only 12 posts? That was a sign he's only on the board to sell (or scam as it seems). I hope you get things resolved.

I’m new to this board but extremely old
Member on ls1tech and other places so I was hoping that wasn’t the issue.

I was scammed by Coalminer98 for the purchase of ZL1 wheels listed here on camaro5.com. Here is the info I have for Coalminer98 and the address where I shipped the ZL1 wheels:

Mark Holland, might be / probably a fake name
1246 Baux Mountain Road
Germanton, NC 27019
Cellphone: 304-602-4492 (West VA area code, so maybe he is/was a coal miner)
Public records indicate the house at this address was just sold 8 months ago. I'm waiting for the records to be updated to get the current owner's name or for the local authorities to determine the current owner, will be no problem.

I filed a scam report with the FBI yesterday at www.ic3.gov, contacted the Stokes County (North Carolina) Police Department this morning, and just had an Orange County Sheriff (CA) at my house taking a report with all the info and documentation I have. They have a pretty good handle on the scam. Looks like Coalminer98 had you pay me, then once my wheels arrived in NC, within two hours there was a PayPal claim filed for refund of the paid funds.

I am retired so I have time to pursue those behind this scam. If you were a victim of this I'd like to hear from you. We can't let the perpetrator(s) get away with this.
I sent a PM with my contact details.

I have a good feeling this scammer will be fully exposed and will hopefully experience the legal wrath of PayPal and the authorities.

Let's cooperate as best we can and do this.
I pray you nail this low life, let's hope the authorities charge him with mail fraud?

Thanks for your wishes & encouragement, Deputy347k9.

The North Carolina statutes regarding receiving or possessing stolen goods stipulate that cases involving items over $1,000 in value dictate a Class H felony theft. So there's that.

PayPal has enormous resources to go after the perp. PayPal has the wherewithal to get him "nailed" as you say. PayPal would do so to maintain the integrity of their service. BTW, in researching PayPal's operations at https://www.pymnts.com/earnings/2018...action-volume/, I found PayPal in one recent 2018 quarter processed approximately 2.5 billion transactions representing $143 billion in total payments, while operating in over 18 countries worldwide. No physical product so no production, shipping, warehousing etc, plus no significant advertising. Risk management is probably a small portion of their operating revenues. On average, over 27 million transactions per day, it is mind-boggling the enormity of it all.

Then there's the authorities. Depending on their focus, priorities, and resources it could result in significant problems for this perp.

I have relatives in Raleigh, NC, so my next trip there may include a side-trip to Germanton, NC to see what I can determine, perhaps in cooperation with the Stokes County Sheriff's Dept, if they haven't already visited Coalminer98's ship-to address by then.
