Hi, is there any available update for Mylink?
Hi guys, I bought a certified pre-owned 2016 Camaro 2LT a few days ago. My car has an 8-inch infotainment system, and the version of Mylink is 23415881. The problem is, it only shows Apple Carplay in settings. As a user of Android, I'm really embarrassed that I can't find the Android Auto. I think it should be compatible with AA. Therefore, I just want to know whether it can be solved through the update, and if so, do I need to pay for updating? Please leave any comments related to this situation.
Thanks |

The 2016 MyLink cannot be upgraded. There are several threads on this in the Audio sub forum.

The Android auto update became available around April or May of 2016 if I remember right. My 2016 SS originally only had Apple Car Play. The dealer added the Android auto update later. They should be able to apply it. Its just a software update. It was no charge back when I got mine done.

Honestly, the best upgrade is to make all useless devices 2016-2019 with AA wireless and mirror screen from phone to touch screen with full control by touch. It takes time, but it worth it!

I bought my 2016 after the upgrade was available and made it a condition of my purchase that they install it. All you need to do is ask at the dealer.
