Congrats! While your wife may not think the car is all that practical, kids can still ride in the back seat. My 6 and 8 year old ride in the back of my 6th gen (daily driver) all the time and the 5th gen's back seat is a bit bigger.
Good luck!

Despite all the mess, I love the car! It is just fun to put around in. Got my exhaust together and it sounds great!
Apparently the 1ss doesn't stream music or have a usb port? Mine doesn't. The radio has an aux option but neither the radio nor my android galaxy 8 will detect each other. Anyone familiar? |

It isn't going to display any info on the screen. Playing CDs does display info. There was a Connect and Convenience option available for the 1LT/1SS. It added Bluetooth and a USB port, along with steering wheel radio controls. I think the short-throw shifter was a more popular option an the 1's.

Inside the center console, right? Ok it looked to me like there should ba a usb, but it must be an aux single input instead. Its hard to see in the back. I will have to get an aux jack.
I have no steering wheel control, but on the radio it says bluetooth yet it won't pair, strange. |
