SS slotted rotors advise appreciated
Which manufacturers should I be looking at?
Suggested vendors would be appreciated as well. I'm about to install SS Brembos on my 2LT. I'm trying to decide if I should use the stock SS rotors or upgrade the rotors as part of the install.

With modern pad compounds, there is really no need to run slotted rotors or drilled either, unless you just want the racey look.

I was under the impression that the slotted rotors stopped better. They seem to on my '01 X5.

RacingBrake has good quality from what I've heard, I believe some people on this forum have had good experience with them. (Rotors)

there is advantages in rotors that can dump
heat and are designed to take abuse and run cooler than other rotors. racingbrake is the top of line stuff. gurantee my brakes run cooler than other leading brands. the veins and directional heat dissipation is a big reason racing brake 2 piece rotors run cooler and are now on their 10th track day with them.

I fitted a set from R1 Concepts they were about $500 USD from memory, they look great and my SS stops on a dime. I don't know why my photo is upside down, may be coz I'm from the land down under.

Thanks for the info so far!
It sounds like racing brake and R1 (slotted & drilled) are way out ahead of what I need for this car though. I also appreciate the information that stock is sufficient. This is obviously worth consideration. How about I add a few other desires?: 1) lighter weight 2) doesn't rust when washed 3) not made in china

If you're not planning on going to the track then the stock SS brakes are more than good for the street.
