So, forgot to tell this story.

So I'm looking at this:

Taking the airbag off for the first time, all you have to do is pull those two wires. Meanwhile, you basically have a bomb pointed right at your lap. I double-check everything, I've killed all power and go for it (unplugged battery overnight, and lithium backups)

*unplugs first wire*
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"What the.... How does this have power?!"
*plugs wire back in*
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
"no no no...."
*jiggles wire*
BEEP BEEP
"Oh shit oh shit oh shit"
*dives out of car*

It was a delivery truck backing up the neighbors driveway -_-

Best timing ever.

Mine too, luckily I missed the soldering iron I had heating up on the floor or things would have gotten much more interesting. I had the car parked in the garage working on it and the combination of being in the garage then inside the car made the beeping sound like it was also from inside the car.

That, and I was kinda nervous anyways.

Also, I only managed to extract two leftover screws. Everything works... So I have no idea how I had two left over. I guess out of 50+ that worked out well. I think they went somewhere in the glove compartment area but idk.

I'll consider that part of my weight reduction mods

How soon are you wanting to do it? The parts manager at Steve Rayman Chevrolet in Smyrna told me he is getting a machine to do hydrodipping. I can find out his cost if i go there tomorrow (im there probably 4 out of 5 days a week)

if its cheap, i can do it whenever. I wanna do the engine cover and fuse box cover. some kind of carbon fiber look in orange and black

i also just ordered some magnaflow mufflers off ebay, part number 10416, and some vinyl decal to black out the rear and the front fascia.

im hoping to get these in by wednesday, and installed... to show off at italian pie!
