Radiator Choice
Looking at the Champion or the Mishimoto both are under 400 and don’t see the Ron Davis or Dewitts at over 600 bucks, I don’t wanna a radiator is a radiator but dam the difference in cost is kinda ridiculous.
So if you had a choice which would you go with or know of another alternative for a all aluminum radiator.

There is no sense in changing rads unless you are going with additional cores.
You can change the rad all you want, the T-stat will still be your baseline. |

Stock does fine until 550hp NA or 850hp boosted and that's only in the hot regions of the US.

True But
The Mishimoto and the Champion have more cores I believe and if not are they are bigger cores and I’m running a 168 t-stat an yes while what you said is true it will take longer to get hot with added capacity.

Road Course
Bo going to be road racing the car and approximately 500 hp to the tires so a lot of additional stress if just a daily driver completely agree.

i got this as far as i can tell it's the same as the champion.i kinda showed what i did.it fit the fans perfect and the condenser.the only snag was the trans lines if i did it again i would stick with the stock but this was cheaper decent quality and has more cores.
the listing has a make a offer i offered 170 they accepted and i ended up at 181.48 because of tax.to use it i needed check it out https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...=576270&page=2 https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Rows-Alum...72.m2749.l2649 |

I live in az in 115+ weather my car runs just like stock. Coolant is about 199 moving and up to 225 in stop and go or idling. Oil temps about 226 usually, and trans temps 185-190. Are you having cooling issues?

I think just about everyone that road courses at least has the potential to have overheating problems.

I just bought a mishimoto radiator. haven't installed it yet as I am still waiting on my oil cooler to come in the mail so I can get that in first. the thing looks great (outside of the car) and well made. the only issue I am seeing right now is it looks like they got some spots from welding inside the holes at the bottom your plastic fan shroud goes into. so it doesn't really fit in there without doing some minor trimming on the fan shroud. I don't know if this is an issue with all of their camaro rads or I just got the lucky bad draw lol

Good info on both Champion and Mishimoto an I plan on running a external cooler for the trans as well.
