Fried ECM?
Hi I have a 2010 camaro rs that I just put stainless workers headers and pipes. While installing them I dropped the gasket down onto the hot wire on the starter and it caused some sparks but I thought no issue maybe just a blown fuse. I unhooked the battery like I should have from the start and finished the job. After hooking the battery back up I tried to start the car and the check engine light was flashing, the gas guard read empty when before I replaced the pipes it was at half a tank, when trying to turn the car over it does nothing not even crank all the lights and radio work fine. There is also a weird loud clicking anytime power goes through the car even like opening the door or using the key fob (video link below of my actual car) I think I might have fried the ECM which is fine because it’s too late now I just want to make sure that’s the problem before I buy a new one and get it flashed. Thanks.http://youtu.be/T17FITv79ok

You might have fried the relay wire at the starter solenoid.

If anyone wants to know I found a blown ecm power fuse when originally I was checking the ecm ignition fuse. Took it to the shop just to make sure I’m all good
