247 rwhp with just an intake. Considering only a few years ago, 6 bangers were lucky to hit 200 FWhp, I'm happy with that

Hello!
|
446 rwhp currently...running a TVS2300 on 6.5 psi with a Magnaflow cat-back.
No intake or headers...yet! Half the parts are here, the other half including new tuning is in the next few weeks. I'll be sure to post back up with the results. |

Dyno'd mine last weekend...totally stock. It's a 2SS/RS A6 (L99). No mods to the engine or transmission whatsoever--not even a CAI yet.
I got two runs and both came up with about 319 rwhp and 323 tq. I wasn't smart enough to turn off the air conditioning before the dyno--or to turn off traction control or Stabilitrak. Don't know if any of these would have made a difference. What do ya'll think? Did I lose out on a couple of stray hp? Given the expectation of approx. 20% drive train losses from the 400 hp at the crank, this is about what I expected (320 hp). Not bad, I think for my stock L99. Right in line with the other stock L99 that was there. I plan to add the CAI soon (Chris #1--let's talk Roto-Fab!). Catback will come later. Then maybe...just maybe, headers some day. Would like to get the rwhp up to 400 hp eventually, so the horsepower to the wheels matches the advertised crank hp.
