Well seems like the perception we had about the so called cheap Autolite plugs are dead. Times have changed from back when out parents would show us how to work on a car. I am very impressed with my findings on them and will be using them again when the time comes. Cant beat a cheaper cost with better performance than the more expensive ones.

Never caught on!!! I have to watch out who I piss off now, don't want them to think it was you!!!

Will try out those plugs soon.
Thanks.

At even 14-15#'s of boost there can be spark blowout if the plug gap is to wide (OEM setting would be to wide) or even 10# if wider yet.

At 18-20#'s we close that gap to the high .20's

Here is a video of a 1000 rwhp build we did years ago, and it wasnt until he had the plugs gapped at .027 that we cured the blow out issue:

Notice that as soon as the boost comes on it instanly puts the gig fat Nittos up in smoke until well over 100 miles an hour:

Assuming you are running about 6 psi, I would say start around 38 and work your way down if it is sputtering at high RPMs. 31 seems a bit extreme for 6 psi, even on a 11.3:1 CR.

Take them out after a few 100 miles and make sure they aren't fouling and there is no pitting or heat patterns.

Try 36 and see if it sputters. If it does, then work your way down about 2 a time. Don't remember what PT_Killa is running but I think he's about 35-36 and 8 psi on his turbo. He's under higher boost down low than you and not having problems, so I don't think you will.

Did I miss something? Is the Autolite part number for these plugs listed in here somewhere?

I'm installing my IPF S/C this weekend, so I need to pick some up.
