They are holding up quite well. It has been a month and the rims look the same as they did the first day I did them. I recommend plastidip if you want a clean look that is very cheap.

Great DIY Video. Have you had to remove the tires? Was wondering how the lugs/rims are holding up in the removal scenario.

Thank you sir. I thought about that too. If I were to take off the rims, I would just touch up the lug nuts again after the rims were fully installed.

Yeah the plasti dip will come off easily if you intentionally try to take it off. The beautiful thing is that it will last for years if you leave it alone.

Great video, I like a contrast between the wheel/tire... so I removed mine to do them. But they are holding up well it's been about 6 months now.

It depends on how thick the coats are. The thicker they are the easier it is to get off. I had thin coats and it was somewhat difficult...well, more time consuming than difficult. Until I put my pressure washer on them

looks good if i did it I would probably remove the wheels from the car so the lug nuts would not get painted

I did this. I removed the wheels from the car so I could get the entire wheel. I left the center cap and lug nuts alone and they look great accenting the flat black wheel.

Just got some new tires installed on rear and there is some "chipping" along the very edge. Otherwise it has held up to washing, driving, weather etc.

I wouldn't tell someone with pristine wheels to do this but if you have some damage for me its a no brainer. Undamged looking wheels for $6.38 a can....I probably over did it and used 1 can per entire wheel (front and back, inside and out).

Tips from my experience. Do it in a dust/dirt free environment and wear a mask to avoid the fumes and rubber boogers. Remember to tape off the valve steam as well as index card the tires. Taking wheel off is the way to go in my opinion....overspray can happen to the best paintshops let alone a Joe in his driveway.

I,m fixin to try this on my outdated cragar ss wheels on one side only for a show next week. While I,m at it I might dye the grey in one side of my beard to match just for laughs.
