m6 flat spot

any one else feel like there is a flat spot say 3000-3500

2ss 1le

my mods
rotofab dry, ported throttle body, tune from dyno steve, mishimoto catch can.

mind you I feel like I noticed the flat spot after the cold air install which was done at the same time as the catch can..

but I did that during my break in and cant really be sure it wasn't there before...

any possibility there could be a vacuum leak with the catch can, I am not a fan of those quick disconnects, have tried spaying near the connectors and nothing happens but till don't like them..

I think 1st gear is heck of long, I "fixed" mine with long tubes and E85. I was still relatively unhappy with its street fighting and was going to permanently fix it with a 412 stroker, but decided to go cam, heads and supercharger. Note that only a really tight LSA cam like 110 would be able to bring enough midrange back and heads don't really help midrange. Hence I was either going with stroker or supercharger. The real fix is gears but that ain't happening. A tight LSA may require flycutting the pistons, especially if the heads are cut for higher CR, which does help midrange. No vendor that I know of has a tight LSA cam,

You mean like the same dip the LS motors have around 3500 RPM?

I don't know about the ls motors
I just know that the motor is strong in any gear even from 2000 but when you hit 3000-3500 (obviously more noticeable from 3rd gear up) its not linear feels kind of like flat and then picks up again after 3500

doesn't feel right certainly not what id expect from this motor..

ill talk to my tuner again but I wanted to know if others feel this or its just me...

also curious about the catch can if its possible to cause a vacuum leak with one of those quick disconnects and if anyone else has had that issue...

That’s odd, mine feels great around that RPM, mods are
CAI, PRAY ported IM , TONY mamo ported TB and cat deletes . I still have a CEL and it’s bc I have not had time to get it tuned but car feels way more stronger tha. It did when it was bone stock. I am quite happy with it over all and it’s an m6 btw

I haven't noticed that but next time I take it out I will pay attention when in that RPM band to see if I notice anything.

Should get the torque app and monitor your sensors.

Also you should specify if this is at wot or part throttle or both, WOT has different tuning

I haven't noticed either with my 2016 but will check when I drive it this week. Only mod to mine is a Cold Air Inductions CAI. It might well be in your tune though. My 2010 LS 3 had a flat spot in about the same range as your LT1 after tuning for LTs and a CAI install.

I'd figure an issue like this would show up on a dyno?
