ordering next week-still undecided

Planning to order next week and I'm still on the fence about whether automatic or manual.
On one hand the 426 HP LS3 seems to be a sweet motor for max HP and rowing through the gears.
The L99 is less appealing to me because of the HP loss but sure makes driving in traffic easier
The LS3 seems to be more car for less money.
LS3 more HP, torque, and cam ?

Get the LS3 and don't look back. If you get tired of using the clutch, many Camaro5 folks will offer to chauffer you, just for the joy of driving an LS3

You are not loosing that much power, plus a couple of add on's, CAI thermo and you are right with them. You are only talking about 26 hp.

Yes, it's only 26 hp. That's only 5%.

Hmm, that's like losing only 5% of your income....or losing only 5% of your IQ....or cutting off only 5% off the size your male appendage. Hmm! Maybe 5% is a lot after all.

On second thought; On somethings there can be no compromises...better get the LS3.

O.K. I stand corrected by a total jack ass. Buy the LS3 then match up with a auto and tell me there is a huge difference.

Calm down! Take a pill. I tried to use a little humor to make a valid point. My mistake. Some people here pay a lot of money for 26 hp....a lot of money.

If I offended you, I apologize, but you shouldn't be so quick with the name calling.

The LS3 is way more than just 26 HP.

It is the lack of AFM
Its having launch control, yea it works very well!
It is the feeling of running through the manual gearbox (please don't compare that to "autostick")
It is the satifaction you get when you down shift a few gears and mash the accelerator to the floor and hear the car roar to life.
It is not having to pull fuses
It is not having a more restrictive exhaust
It is not having to listen to people ask why you got an auto
It is $1000 less
and yes, it is 26 more HP

That's a pretty crappy reason. It's pretty dangerous when you start caring so much about what other people think that you practically start letting them make decisions for you.
