Clutch not fully disengaging

I have a 2013 SS & my clutch is not fully disengaging.
When you push the clutch to the floor & put it into gear you can hear a faint clunk sound through the drive train.
Also if you have it in neutral with the clucth to the floor & give the car a rev, you can smell the clutch burn.
You can feel the clutch start to bite once you lift the pedal about 1 1/2 to 2 inches from the floor. There is a little play at the top of the pedal

So I replaced the factory clutch with an RST twin plate & also replaced the slave cylinder & the same problem still exists.

I did find that my fluid was contaminated & had a gel type skin on top of the reservoir, so flushed the system when I did the clutch change.

Any idea's what could be causing it to still no disengage fully?
Could it be a stuffed master cylinder?

I am chasing the same problem. You mentioned some play at top. I reshimmed the slave cylinder on mine to the low side to remove the play at the top.

If it's bled correct, the next cheapest test is replace the master cylinder under the dash. Currently on mine, the issue is warped clutch spline to disk. I found .028 to .037 warpage which is contributing to a bind on the spline. With a new clutch as you mentioned it would most likely not be your issue. I am anti seizing the spline and putting trans back in to see if it helps.

Please post update when you can.
