4:10 for A6

ive heard diffrent things about puttin 4:10 in a A6.
ive heard that it really helps out alot performance wise, i also heard in Auto cars its crap.

has anyone put 4:10s in a A6? and what did it do for you?
Do you think i should get 4:10s, 4:30, or 3:73

I recommend 3.73 for the A6 cars as a good all around gear due to the more aggressive gearing in the auto transmission. For reference, with 3.73s you will run about 2000-2100rpm at 70mph and with 4.10s you would run 2200-2300rpm at 70mph. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up.

4.10 is way too much gear to go with the A6 already deep 4.03 1st gear.

Agreed.

You gain absolutely nothing by having such steep gears. With first gear already being 4.03:1, the car can get into the powerband very quickly already, and then easily stay there through each sequential gear.
