Quick Q for you owners....do the side mirrors fold?

Do the mirrors fold? Even manually? She's a big girl and around here it's always an idea to have anything like mirrors folded in to avoid them being smashed off by cars driving too close, or kids being kids...

Cheers

I've been studying some pics and I can see where, in future, they could allow the mirrors to swing in - I wonder if it'll happen....

Mirros do not fold. The Wiki and brochure etc. give the overall width of the car and that seems to include the mirrors. If you look at the car I think the rear fenders are as wide if not wider than the mirrors are tip-to-tip.

Here's a interesting bit of trivia - the right side passenger mirror is about an inch larger than the left side mirror but has been carefully designed so that it is only noticeable by taking a measuring tape to it.

Good idea! I'd say it's good for a 20 buck wager. Just look at it from the front and make the comment that you think it's different. He'll think your nuts....

That is interesting. It makes sense though. We just got a Impala as a rental and those "mirrors" as GM calls it are WAY too small for a big sedan like it is. We have an 09 Malibu and the mirrors are FAR FAR FAR larger.
