Here is a list of the states paying insurance. The first # is annual income, the second # is annual car insurance and the third is the percentage of annual income going towards car insurance. 50 North Carolina $52,920 $860 1.625%
51 Massachusetts $78,653 $1,128 1.434%

the problem with this list is that it only takes into account people paying the state minimum liability coverage, not full coverage or higher than state minimum requirement.

if I was paying state minimum liability only with no comp, collision, or theft my insurance would be about $350 a year.

as I chose to pay for coverage to actually cover my assets completely (home, cars, motorcycle, and protect myself above the value of my assets) I pay $2500 a year.

Once again, as stated previously, insurance payments and coverage is completely subjective, there are so many variables involved that no 2 people even with identical coverage, vehicles and living in the same city/state will pay exactly the same.

I'm going insurance shopping. I'm 45, female, good driver discount, multi vehicle discount AND homeowner's all through Allstate. $250 deductible, 7500 miles (oops I went over), no kids under 25 on the policy.

$622.68 every six months and that's with a ton of discounts. Allstate is expensive.

be aware you will lose your loyalty discount moving to another company, for me it's a hefty 18%, when I went shopping to see if I could get a lower rate no other company could touch my rate as a result.

However I did talk to my State Farm agent and told him that other companies were offering me better rates before the loyalty discount, as much as 25% lower so even if I lost that discount I would be getting more insurance for my money, that forced him to re-evaluate my policy, and though he "couldn't" lower my rate to match, he was able to raise my amounts and keep me at the same payment.

sometimes just telling your agent you are looking at other companies is enough to get them to tweak things, as they get paid commission based on their clients, and if you leave his pay is reduced.

I would guess it's due to a lot of deer and 7 months of winter, as far as the snapshot I'm rarley home as I'm an OTR driver, and when I do drive the camaro I follow the rules as violations would effect my employment.

It al depends on age and where you live not to mention the driving record. NY, LA, TX are three of the most expensive areas to live in no matter your age or driving record. LA & TX mainly for the stolen car rates that end up across the border in Mexico.

The two big things that affect how much you pay are age and ownership status, especially the second as your lienholder requires higher insurance standards than the law does. I got a quote from my company (Progressive) under the two hypothetical situations of whether or not I own the car straight out at 25 yrs with a clean record and it was a difference of over $100/month.
It is pretty sad because I am not one of those douches who show off in front of people with the car you know. I just like driving it and accelerating it here and there but it's not that I push it all the way all the time :P

and wow...i must be doing something wrong i was quoted 181 for a '13 2SS. i may go and try state farm. see how much it will be for my home and cars. my car is currently under my parents insuranc and i just pay them. im 26.
Yeah, I woke up under the influence. Was supposed to have the day off and drank a bit much, fell asleep on couch and boss called me about 4hrs later to come to work. Didn't realize I was still drunk or under influence, but the cop sure did. Anyways, that was almost 5yrs ago now and in the past.

I got insurance through Liberty Mutual and like I said, all bundled with other car and house it was a good deal. It does pay to shop around.
