New Owner coming out of BMW 540i 6spd

Picked up 2010 LS 6MT, coming out of a BMW 540i 6spd. I really miss low end torque (324 ft lbs) under 4000 but I will not miss the repair bills. Honestly I said 2 yrs ago next car would American at that time the short list was

1. 2004-05 CTS-v
2. 2005 + Mustang GT
3. 2010 Camaro

I got a such a great deal on the Camaro it was a no brainer. It only had 7k miles on it. It is an LS, at the end of the day my street racing days are long gone (I'm 40) the V6 is more than adequate power...................HOWEVER if someone with an SS offered to trade of course I would do it in a heartbeat but I must say I am NOT use to getting so much attention, as you guys know first hand the vehicle commands attention and there is at least one compliment a day.

As far as mods I have nothing to serious planned I have dropped in a KN Panel I really dont have a desire to touch exhaust, it is a 6 and I can accept that (sound) I painted the plastic insert for the steelies and painted the calibers, she will get new wheels next summer but all other mods will be cosmetic. I was going to say this is my "mid life" crisis car but I see there are quite a few guys her my elder (I am 40) but I have been married almost 20 yrs. Look fwd to keeping the car for a quite sometime and look fwd to the infinite knowledge on Camaro5.

I'm a fan of the heritage rims, but I think ya gotta drop the red trim rings.

They look pretty good with no trim rings, IMHO.

Great car. Enjoy it!

Thanks for all the replies, as I mentioned new wheels are in order but we will have snow on ground in less than 2 mths. The heritage wheel will suffice for the winter. I was reluctant to paint them then I realized sice they pop right off pop in about 3 seconds I can alternate from current to no ring at all. As far as replacement wheels I will stay with black and most likely go with the replicas in 20". Sounds like I need to give her a name as well. ;-)

Tks for replies

I am 100% with you on the V6 choice, I too am 45 and this V6 should be more than enough power for me, I am rather interested in the convertible and how it will turn out, for the money I will be saving on the V8 I will be able to afford the convertible, but anyways I am still set on the V6, Ya I would take an SS if someone offered it to me but that is as far as it goes with me. Nice ride!, now ...........go get some new rims.
