Driveway vs ZL1
So I've been driving my house mates 1le a little and noticed the front splitter scratches when leaving ( usually not a big deal since my dropped sS used to bottom out on my old driveway but I could control that fairly well). I drove his car back into it garage and I noticed that it's catching super hard on the way in. His spoiler is already scraped down a bit.
The zl1 I'm picking up next week is obviously lower and has a larger splitter. Is there and easy way of handling the issue because I will have a mental break down lol. I will send pictures tomorrow of it. If anyone else has a work around for making it up and down driveways ( the down isn't a problem I believe if I angle it right) I've thought about cementing, wood ect ect. Thank you guys in advance. I have a horrible driveway with a nasty florida drain and I was able to get both my 1le and my zl1 in with no scratching. Kind of a sweet spot angle I point the corner and go. I did scuff mine on a stupid curb bump stop the other day though, grrr. I knew id be replacing that piece any way as it had rash on the side when I bought it.

Yeah, I have a solution. Spend about $2500 to have your driveway fixed before you take delivery of your ZL1. That's what I had to do. I had a HUGE dip. My previous 2007 Charger SRT8 would drag if I wasn't careful. Unfortunately there was no sweet spot for my driveway. Hell, it got so bad (collapsed corrugated metal drain pipe), my mom's lexus would scrape. So, the ZL1 didn't stand a chance.
Anyhow, that was my solution. $$$

While they still have them readily available, go order a spare splitter from your dealer for about $100! Nice to have for future use!

My neighborhood has rolled curbs. I used a Bridjit crub ramp (http://bridjit.com) until I had my driveway apron redone. Worked great. I also installed a skid strip protection plate from Ridergraphix to the bottom of my splitter.

I've found that if you turn the car on an angle entering and exiting, that you will get much less rub. Experiment with the angle that works.
Good luck.

This 100%. My car is lowered 1 1/4". You have to take dips on an angle. Good luck.

I use Curb Ramps made from recycled rubber. They work great and are made by several manufacturers.
