I doubt it. You've had the car too long for it to be fixed I bet. I'm NOT saying that's a legit reason but when you took delivery of it you had the opportunity to look at it.

Again, I am NOT saying that it's my opinion at all. Just playing devils advocate a little.

But I am a little vague on what you mean by panels not matching up.

And--- correct me if I am wrong--- I've never known the trans to be a "numbers- matching" part... and I have never known anybody who ever looked for a number on a trans. Trannies have always seemed like a component part: easy come, easy go...

Oh no man,its cool,I didn't think you meant me personally
I just don't want him to be worried or concerned about a new reman. tranny.

You must have been with the Mid-Atlantic crew coming through Uniontown here for C5Fest when Chris's transmission went out on him? (I need to send him a PM and see what all he did)

I didnt have to many options with my mods I was not getting anything from GM so instead of getting a reman GM tranny I went with a race built tranny from Mike at Century transmissions. Just got the car back a 2 weeks ago then went on vacation so have only put about 200 miles on it but seems to be all it was said to be will keep all updated. As for the OP dont worry about the reman trans like someone said the only thing used is the case all internals are new and you have a warranty and if its Fox chevy tell them you want rick working on it he is the man tell him Chris from C5 sent you.

Glad to hear your back on the road Chris
I still feel so bad about your car breaking down on you on your way to C5Fest :( I'm so glad we were able to help you as much as we could
But at least now you know you shouldn't have to worry about the tranny giving you anymore issues!

Yes to the tranny numbers, and even the rear end should match on a collectors car. But I would have to agree the odds a v6 becoming a collectors car 30 years from now is just not reality. The more limited of a run like the ZL1 or 1LE has a much better chance.
As far as selling after the repair, I just don't see the logic, the emotion yes, but not the logic. You'll only loose money on your end. My two cents. Let them fix it, make sure it's right and enjoy it!
