AGP TT cold air intake thoughts
I was looking for some info on the AGP twin turbo CAI, it looks like they go up into the fenders, do they rattle, do they help with power or will I lose power with it, my motor setup is a 416cid with twin EFR 7670. also will it be hard to change the boost on them?

They do go up in the fenders. No noise but the sound of air being sucked in. You will probably lose a little power based on Sakudog's experience with them. They have nothing to do with adjusting boost. That is controlled at the wastegates and your boost controller.
I have the CAI but am not using it any more. If you are interested, I'll make you a heck of a deal on it. I am using the filters so you would have to source them. AGP sells them separately. |

do your turbos get super rowdy at full boost, I found a cut it my boost side right by the turbo but at full boost the noise changes a lot so I have that part coming so I hope that fits it.
also what I meant by changing the boost, is that I don't have a electronic boost controller and I'm running 10lbs springs and how hard is it to cha be the boost with out the boost controller? |

You have to change the springs in the wastegates to change the boost if you don't have a controller.
I also have EFR7670s and I can hear them spooling a little before 2k. I had bigger turbos in the past on a different engine but they were somewhat laggy and wasn't a very fun street car. Now I have a bigger engine and smaller turbos and, from what I have experienced while datalogging, it's going to be a perfect street toy. I suffered a drivetrain issue and when that gets sorted out, I'll go back to logging. I never got it above 10# but wow... |

You don't need the cold air kit.

Got stock motor with agp kit with EFR7670 with CAI . Don't know how with out Cai but no complaint ( it's make cool sound, and probably can reduce power) but I drive car Year around ( rain, snow) and CAI helps from weather ! If I located in southern part of US I wouldn't use it

No CAI here, but my filters were collapsing on the dyno. I yanked them and am currently running screens over the turbo inlets. I'd give up a few HP for the peace of mind of filters that don't collapse. Anyone else have this issue?

Which filters ? and what condition where they in ? Did removing the filters make any difference to power ? Did fitting the screens make any difference vs open ? |

Hmmm... no issue with my 30k miles on the original K&N filters. Sure, they're a little beat up with a crinkle here and there but with keeping them relatively clean, they're golden. I have popped them off a few times when playing with the two-step and I did notice more boost with associated power. But it was nothing a little more duty cycle couldn't have added. Safety is knowing something isn't going to be ingested driving down the road.

K&N that came with the kit. Pic below. It did pick up power, but it was getting retuned and we were adding in timing so I can't say specifically how much was due to the filters being off.

So, the appearance is that they were probably "distorted" during install. Lawd knows, I've done a number on my filters twisting and turning, moving the inlet hoses and messing, to leave the filters less than original stock (new) looking. And, with the mashes on the filters from the installation process gave way to weakening the filter media matrix. What kind of air you pulling through these (motor CID and boost)?

Mine are distorted some from taking them on and off, but not to the degree of that.
