If the gear carrier(pumpkin) and all else is the same as the lt gears I would think you can swap, cost though is high on any gear change, around 1500-2000 I think. If you dont have sport mode in the ls, I assume you have a auto, you cant just add that. Thats in the trans ecu data, steering wheel and who knows what else

2Ls was designed for economy, not performance

This, your best potential performance mod would be to sell it and buy a 1LS.

Some may think of it as being limited with options, I personally look at it as $500 saved in my wallet... or to be spent on other mods that would have a greater effect.

I know comparing dyno numbers to dyno numbers are not 100% accurate, but bmorecam (LLT) had a trifecta tune, OBX long tube headers, and flowmaster custom cat back and made the same horsepower numbers as I did (LFX) with only cold air intake.

Not a LLT vs LFX Who cares! The extra hp on the 2012 comes from being integrated into the engine without the need for headers. The LLT's have the option to add headers giving it a bump in hp. But in the end both will be about the same hp, give or take a few. So who cares. Both are fantastic engines for a v6.

Just making the point that the LFX not being able to have headers is not a negative mark against the LFX.

You can change gears yes. But you will sacrifice you fuel economy. Sport mode, not so much. It would be a very involved programming session, and an extremely expensive one.

No need for aftermarket headers is actually pretty nice on the LFX. The negative side is no need for ported IM which gives the LLT a significant boost in HP and the fact that all LFX motors have tune counters..

Dude, your car is plenty fast as is. Have you ever disabled the safety computers? Hold down the TC button for about 7 seconds until you see two orange lights on your dial light up. Then go and take it for a spin. In all honesty, your car is probably more fun than an SS on public roads. Seriously, think about it. You can use more power, all the time. And don't tell me sloppy body roll around corners and squealing tires doesn't put a smile on your face.
