2014 ZL1 - Need it shipped to me - help!
New member here - but not new owner. Back in '02 I was 23 and had my SS. I loved it. It was bought brand new, but 4 years later and several street races later I got older, life happened, the car was pretty worn so I let it go. Got another one that I plan to restore with the same mods I had back then.. It still sitting unfortunately.. so then I was looking to for another 2002 that had very low miles to keep and dump the restoration idea ... but I got a line now on a Black and Black 2014 ZL1 With 3100 miles. (I know huge difference) but man it is hooked up and clean as all hell. I sealed the deal this morning. I need shipping. Does anyone know of a reliable company that won't mess it up? Thanks!

Where from or what is the distance? I personally would fly and drive it back. Get some time to check it out personally and then seat time to know and love your car.

It's in California - I'm in Florida, too many miles. I have a couple I've called, but would love a referral

Ok I called american auto shipping and they are a referral service. Now I'm getting calls from a bunch of companies but so far I'm leaning towards one called national express. http://www.nationalexpressautotransport.com They are the only ones that explained anything and don't have a website that looks like it was published during the myspace era. Please if anyone has suggestions or have used these guys I'd be very happy to hear from you. thanks! Any help would be great.

Lot of them won't have websites with a lot,of details unless it's a large corporation. Biggest things to ensure is contract in place, photos before and after picked up, and they have insurance. My friend runs an auto transport business and pretty much relies on word of mouth and websites for bidding so no webpage required.

I used Intercity to transport a Corvette from Calif to Florida recently -- 100% satisfied.

Whatever company you pick, make sure there is minimal gas in the tank and have the seller put on a locking gas cap. Make sure the shippers know about the gas level and locking cap. The drivers will use your car as a chase car when delivering other cars off the trailer. They will load your car last, will stop at a truck stop to unload your car and the car to be delivered and use your car to get back to the truck. Your car will be loaded and unloaded many times between CA and FL increasing the risk of damage and put a bunch of miles on the car. I had an Audi shipped from CA to MO many years ago. It took them 6 weeks to deliver with an extra 1000 miles on the car and damage everywhere inside and out. They popped threads in the driver's seat and there were cigarette ashes all over the inside of the car. Have an iron clad timing and damage contract with photos of everything inside and out.

I had a SUV shipped from Nevada to NY, & I'm convinced the driver was living in it at night instead of paying for a room.
