ZL1 vs ??
ok, I am sick of seeing the ZL1 VS the 13' GT500 comparisons, the ZL1 lost fair and square in every test (real world tests not magazine editor's opinions)
The facts are despite how GM managed an 11.9 out of the car not a single "real world" person has been able to duplicate this The ZL1 has been raped on the 1/4 mile and road racing The GT500 responds more favorably to mods ect ect lets just admit the '13 GT500 is in an entirely different universe of performance and start doing some more fair comparisons I understand alot of these are "magazine" tests but someone has to be interested in setting up some independent tests What I would love to see- ZL1 vs CTSv (coupe and wagon) ZL1 vs pre '13 GT500 ZL1 vs Grand Sport Corvette ZL1 vs the Boss Mustang ZL1 vs the SLP ZL Camaros ect ect ect ect Someone must want to represent the ZL1 in a more evenly matched battle!

Never gonna happen. Plus, I wouldn't want it any other way. So what if the ZL1 lost to the GT500, I am just happy there is a Camaro vs Mustang. They are both great products and would love to have both, but being a Camaro guy (and always will be), I am still going to buy ZL1. The beauty of rivalries, is that, each company will always attempt to make their product better than the other. And again, the real winner is the consumer.

I just can't understand how one faster lap on a course with long straights Makes the GT 500 a better track car. Put the two an a road course with twisties And straights and run 10 or 20 laps and watch what happens, I think we all know that the zl1 would quickly reel in the 500 and then separate . Funny how they put them on a track with very few turns and long straits. Just to prove what we already know that it's faster in a straight line . I personally don't consider 3 laps a race to compare what we all know what the zl1 is capable of. Not that I would ever even see a 13 500 , heck i've only seen a couple older 500's in the past 5 years. |

I also rode in the ZL1 and as an instructor for a number of years I was impressed with the MRC on turn in at certain points on the track. I'm equally impressed with the suspension in my 2013 GT500 and I think a better observation would be to review the two cars on multiple tracks. This is something I can do with Erik from Torq. Sebring, Homestead, PBIR and Daytona. But those are probably too long. What road course would you suggest the interior course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway? |

Better is sooo subjective. Better for whom?? Its an awesome car, but better that a GT500, well, some may disagree. What does it matter anyway, both are killer cars! Im more of a Z06 guy myself (buying in 1 week)

It doesn't matter who wins or loses. Camaro guys will buy Camaros and Mustang guys will buy Mustangs. We all win in my opinion.
