LS3 ticking noise

Hey guys, I have 2010 Camaro ss manual transmission and I want to ask you guys what kind of problem my car has.

Its been a while that I'm hearing ticking noise from passenger side engine bay. My exhaust is too loud to hear it during idling but when I start driving, I can hear ticking noise from passenger side. (It is the same when it is warm or cold)
Ticking sound get faster and louder as the rpm get higher and when I step on the clutch pedal while car is moving, it stops.

From the research that I've done, it seems like my lifters are bad but I want to make sure if its really a lifter problem before I open up the cylinder heads.

I cannot get any service from Chevrolet dealers because I live in S. Korea and they don't like touching direct import cars.

Hope someone can help me out with this problem. Thanks

Make sure all your spark plug wires are tight. I was getting a tick and found one plug wire I was able to push on tighter and the noise went away.

Pop the valve cover off. Check the rocker arms, wiggle them by hand.

You say the exhaust is too loud? Can I assume the car is not bone stock? What has been done to it? Could be an exhaust leak.

Sounds like your header gasket needs to be tightened or replaced. Look to see if there is black exhaust residue around where the header studs are.My headers made a ticking noise and they were loose,I replaced the gasket, problem solved.

If you are hearing a ticking noise over your loud exhaust its probably an exhaust leak

It is likely a lifter. Is your car manual or automatic transmission. If it is automatic it is likely one of the lifters in cylinder 4 or 6, as those are the displacement on demand or active fuel management lifters that shut down when it drops to 4 cylinders, they are known to get stuck. They usually go when you approach the 100K miles mark. They can cause lean codes, and cause the cats to fail too. It is usually because of the VLOM which runs down the center of the engine below the intake manifold, it circulates oil to those cylinders and solenoids spray oil in cylinders 1,7,6 and 4 to shut them down but the system has issues but not enough for a recall since it usually occurs after the warranty.

Mine makes the same noise when it's warm. I think it's normal injector tap. Loud AF.

2015 ls3 with 20k LT and tune.
