SWEET THUNDER

When i had a prowler i put a sweet thunder s.s. 24in. muffler on it and it sounded great. They have a cat back system for the camaro . Has anyone ever purchased one of these? It made the v-6 in the prowler sound close to a v-8.

It's interesting to me that with dozens of testimonials for other, established products, people still come up with one-offs or unheard-of brands. +1 for originality, I guess. Guinea Pig...tag, you're it.

SWEET THUNDER

I would post a sound clip if i knew how. You can go to there webb page they have some there. I had there 24in s.s. muffler with a x-pipe on my prowler and it really sounded great. It was kinda loud. It had a nice rumble at idle. It was a good quality muffler and real easy to install. The one they have for the camaro is $975.00.

The "sweet thunder" is meant to be applied to the SS model Camaro's. This most likely means that the pipe used is 2.5 at minimum or most likely larger 3" (which if it is I would not recommend running on a V6).

The exhaust system itself does appear to be a high quality material, but nothing special from V6 standpoint. We already have a factory h-pipe at front. If you remove the rear cats & place an axle back you pretty much accomplished what they are designing here (see below).

Personally if I was gonna set that type of cash out, I would go with solo or ARK instead, but to each their own.

SWEET THUNDER

Thanks shady for posting that. I just wanted to see if anyone ever heard of or used this muffler before. I'm am looking at a axle back system either flow master or dynomax. thanks again.

From many prior posts read upon this forum I would lean more towards dynomax then flowmaster if your set on just those 2. I have heard the flows & they are a little to hollow/open for the V6's (meaning rasp & poppy upon decel). Alot of folks are happy with MRT's offerings as well.

Happy hunting - I know I spent many days listening to youtube vids' and reading thru both the LFX & LLT threads to decide.
