Differential Bushings

Just wanted to show a pic of my differential bushing and how much they really can wear. There seemed to be excessive movement and a little noise coming from the rear and here is the play in the bushing. Time for the Pedders HD Diff Bushings!!

Thanks for posting, that is bad. I have been looking at videos of the rear end and it does move quite a bit.

I believe these are the stock bushings.....I ordered the HD Diff bushings from Pedders but haven't had them installed yet. Unless LPE installed some other diff bushings, which I am going to check on tomorrow. (They kind of look like Pfadt diff bushings but I don't want to say for sure)

Those are the Pfadt bushings.
How long have they been installed in the car?

Since April of this year, so about 4 months. I do road track my car twice a month and run it hard at the track.

I doubt it was an installation problem and I am sure LPE has installed a few of them. You never know. I just want to get my car back on the road and drive it for a couple months before the snow flies again

Update: I just had my rear end replaced with the 3.70 gears from LPE and I did a core exchange with LPE. When the new diff came into my dealership, they forgot to pull my Pedder's bushings out of mine and the new one that was sent had the Pfadt bushings in it already. I thought I had had the Pedder's HD Bushes installed originally - to many parts to remember sometimes. I think any street bushing isn't going to hold up to 600hp but the HD bushing from Pedder's will.

For those with LPE power the OEM bushes will not provide suffcient stability.

Nate,

Are you able to retrieve your Pedders EP1167HDs or do I need to get you a new set?

Pete,
I was able to locate my EP1167HD's and they are being over-nighted to me. Anything special they need to do to reinstall?? Grease etc? Just want to make sure it is done right. Thanks again!!
Nate
