Sven, this has been posted before and that car belongs to a member here, that ZL1 was a lemon and this crash could have killed him.

Besides the idiots narrating are a bunch of dickbags

Are you saying the condition of the car as manufactured caused the accident?

Yes it was an electric power steering failure

Fair, but does that make it a lemon?

Yes because it was a known issue on that vehicle and had been serviced numerous times

Yes, Cam's car was serviced several times (I do not remember the exact amount) for the same problem and he was not driving outlandishly when the accident happened. I believe he was on a highway doing the speed limit around a soft curve and the steering gave out on him causing him to go off road and hit some trees/brush.

I'd call out anyone who would criticize a crash accident without knowing the facts. I.e. saying "this is what happens when you turn off the nannies LOL"

Go search the first time this was posted and read what CAM had to say.

Not a prob, Sven. I can see how it might look like it just happened. This actually made it all over this board a couple of months ago and I think that when it was discovered that it was a member our first response was for the well-being of the driver.

Then I think that the thread was actually shut down by the mods. I could be wrong about that. But, I would suggest the same for your thread before it goes viral again and again and again like so many things.

That's too bad. I totalled a brand new Honda S2000 (tiny roadster w/ 240 hp) back in 2000 with only 3,500 miles on it. I gunned it to enter the highway and the back tires broke loose resulting in me overcorrecting and getting teeboned.

Luckily nobody was hurt but it is a big reality check for me to budget power carefully and know where and when to use or not to use it.
