What do I need to know for ordering tomorrow

I'm totally geeked. Everything has fallen into line this week, and I'm heading up to my family's long time chevy dealership tomorrow. I'm putting in my 2SS/RS Victory Red order. It will be my first truly "new" car, solely in my name.

I also want a few of the "dealer" options - Black Rally stripes, Hurst shifter, GMPP exhaust. Do any of these need to be ordered with my order tomorrow, or can I decide on them anytime before delivery? My dealer mentioned if I did not get these installed at delivery time, but at a later date, the warranty would go from 3/36k to 1/12k. But does that mean that all three have to be ordered when the order is placed? Thanks for the help!

Also, is there anything in particular I should ask for to ensure this goes smoothly? Order number, Documentation, etc? I plan on getting a written agreement for the terms of my deposit and GMS pricing.

Those options - Rally Stripes & Hurst Shifter - can be included tomorrow or added anytime before the order is pulled for production, probably months down the road. The Performance exhaust must be ordered separately, and you cannot do that yet. I'm no authority, but I would bet big $ he's wrong about adding GMPP parts later decreasing your warranty. Sounds like a dumb salesman feeding you
Get a printout of the "Order Workbench" which will show what you're buying - trim line, colors, options - and, most importantly, your alphanumeric order number - top left.
Enjoy!

I would go through the ordering workbook tonight and maybe even print out a copy and take it with you. It will give you all the order codes and any other information. You definitely want to get a copy of your workbench order complete with order number as Rodrunner said. You also want to get in writing what price you will be paying, just in case.

As the others have said, make sure you have all the options that you want picked out. Also, make sure you know what every option is, what your getting and what your not. Its easy to make a mistake and think your getting one thing and your not. Price it all out, make sure you like the number and have at it!
Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the input. I am pretty sure I know what I'm going to order tomorrow, and what I'm going to wait and see on. Hopefully I'll have good news tomorrow evening!

Put in the order tonight, everything went smoothly! My rep even ordered a 2SS too! I'm pumped. I got GMS in writing.
