Hey big thanks to John F and Scott S and the rest of TEAM CAMARO 5 for for not just listeing to us but for actually helping us be happy with our rides. We really are happy thanks to the improvements and options given to us the consumer by a company that really does care and appreciate us. I had a great time in Philly, was pleased to meet you, and absolutely love my camaro.
I plan on getting a second camaro.....A Synergy Green 2SS ragtop with the heads up.....I will be first in line at the dealer when production starts on June 7th.....thats my birthday by the way....
thanks again....

I'm not surpised at all by the news. I didn't think for a second that GM was going to increase the HP levels in the SS. The Camaro has been a home run for GM and adding a few extra HP isn't going to change that. Whether the Camaro has 426hp or 436 hp isn't going to matter to most buyers.

GM has been working hard to improve/fix the issues with the current model. We all know the 2010 model hasn't been without its issues.

I'm not sure if we will even see any changes (performance wise) next year. Its hard to say.

And I have to add that the Camaro is just so much better looking than the Mustang. I have a hard time even comparing the two cars because the Mustang doesn't even appeal to me.

Just an FYI, the Corvettes use windshields that are designed for a HUD, even if the car itself didn't come with one. Also, the Corvettes with a navigation headunit do integrate into the HUD... don't know about OnStar, though.

I wonder if you can add the Heads-up-display on the 2010 SS models

Wow..this post speaks volumes to your mindset on cars.

There is alot different between the 2010 Mustang and 2011. They may look virtually the same but they are very different cars.

As will the Camaro. The plant is set up for 3 windshields (I think it is a test rig of some sort). One is for the coupe, the other the 'vert, and the 3rd is for HUD equiped cars. Not sure what will happen if you have a 'vert with a HUD though ...

Damn this is not the news I wanted to hear. I have been lurking like a vulture waiting to see if they put performance gears in the SS. That is all I wanted to 2011. even 3.73s would wake that thing up like crazy. Im not driving 150mph+ anyway so it is more fun to give it to the public down low where they can appreciate it.

It would barely even hurt MPG to do 3.73 but it isn't worth spending $1000 in the aftermarket to install only slightly better gears and void your drivetrain. Arggg

When he said the Camaro looks Identical I interpreted it as he was saying the appearance was going to be the same. that is where my comment came from. if he meant mechanically differences he should have made that clear...

BTW nothing wrong with my Mindset...

Bingo - GM is a business and will/should divert R&D spending to higher volume platforms. You can dumb it down to "if it aint broke done fix it" ...and think about it, the Camaro is getting all this ranting and raving by EVERYONE -so who the hell would try to revamp alot of things and risk screwing up the recipe

And for everyone whos whining about a ligher blue camaro, you should have spoken up with your dollars sooner (myself included) because they ditched that color as it was the lowest selling color offered...whether something as crazy as synergy green was the right choice of replacement is up for debate, but canning the lowest selling color by volume was again a business decision...hell it could have been yellow or VR if the demand wasnt there...
