I would love to see the Z-28 convertible. The convertible wouldn't be my choice!

There's probably going to be too much torque for a Z-28 convert. I had a '67 Camaro SS/RS 396 convertible and cowl shake was terrible. Now I know engineering has come a long way in 30+ years but they still make bridges with top spans.

Dealers can start to submit both stock and sold orders into Order Workbench on Thursday, November 18, 2010.

Production of the 2011 Camaro Convertible is planned to begin at Oshawa in mid January 2011.

Yup-

I spoke with my dealer last week, I've got an appointment with him Thurs (18th) at 8:30am to submit my order... He's coming in on his day off to take it! $1,000 deposit (however I assume that may depend on local dealer policy...)

Will the convertible unveiling on Friday be televised or streamed?

A helpful little tid-bit I just learned (after being in talks with my local dealers for over a year)... they decided today to inform me of a $5000.00 "Market Adjustment" being added to the convertible. This is Suburban Chevy in Stuart Florida... I checked around locally, Ft Pierce coudn't quote how much extra they were charging (but there will be a charge), and multiple West Palm dealers were also at $5000, rediculous!

Spent all day searching, finally put down a deposit in Saint Cloud Florida (100 miles North) with a written price garuntee at MSRP. #2 to be entered into the workbench on Thursday morning, with a dealership allotment of 15 units! Woo-hoo, FINALLY!!!!!

So it is a definite that dealers all over the US can enter an order for the vert on Thursday the 18th, correct??? I just want to be sure of the date, b/c it seems the dealerships don't even know when they can place the order. Are they sent an email saying they can enter their orders on a certain date?

Where is the info on options, ect.? I haven't seen links to that yet? I remember there was loads of stuff that I had printed out to take with me when I ordered mine on 10/13/08.

My dealer has promised MSRP, have an appointment Thursday morning to place the order - hope he holds up his end of the bargain.

Thats what I was garunteed, and I have a signed order confirmation from the dealer with my option list and garunteeing MSRP. Of all the dealers I spoke to today (and there was several after I discovered the BS at my primary dealer) all the one's who didn't give me the "we don't know, GM hasnt confirmed yet" line, independantly agreed, Nov 18th. The dealer I placed my order specs/deposit w today, stated he tried opening the build page on the software, but it wasn't avaliable yet. He did state all the options avaliable on the LT and SS will be avaliable on the vert, however couldn't confirm nor deny the HUD.He stated he was also associated with marketing and cited this forum as a source... he seemed by far the most informed and realistic... therefor he got my order.

If you remember, back in Oct when the initial Camaro coup orders opened, there was no pricing avaliable then either (hence my friend getting screwed on the GM wheel upgrade...) I'm guessing its all the same with an approx $5000 convertible upgrade.

Good luck!
