Well you can lol all you want. I’m not the only one saying it is garbage. I’ve had 3 flushes, 2 converter changes for the shudder, 1 new valve body for shifts that would rattle your brains just going to the store, and a partridge in a pear tree. My 6l80 never missed a beat. Shifted normal in daily driving and was smooth as silk. Zero issues.

I wonder if the mustang boys are having issues with the a10 since Camaros are using it as well now.

Same design, mostly. Both companies have latitude to modify the transmissions to their own needs. And they have. The A10 in the ZL1, for example, is different than what’s in the Mustang. The A10 in the SS will be closer to the Mustang box, but keep in mind, each company manufactures their own. So any manufacturing based quality issues are not likely to be common across brands. Engineering issues, maybe, but manufacturing issues not so much.

I agree same base mechanical design with variants for torque ratings. But in addition the TCM software and tuning will be brand and car specific, and is where much of the magic happens in the Camaro’s A10.

No Homelink? No big deal.

Actually, GM is ahead of the curve. Homelink will disappear within the next 10 years, maybe sooner.

With WiFi enabled smart garage door openers, you can open your garage door or electric gate with a voice command through Apple Carplay or Android Auto, or directly from your smart watch or smartphone.

There are several devices on the market to add wifi/smart capability to an older non-smart garage door opener for $100.

The A10 in the Mustang is starting to show some issues (no surprise there). Jerky gear selection, hard downshifts, uncommanded high revs, and some part failures. Still, they seem fairly reliable, at least compared to the A8. Time will tell as it's still too early to come to any conclusions.

Hopefully, the Camaro does not inherit any of these issues on the SS. The ZL1 A10 seems to be doing well for the most part so that's a positive.

Seems slightly higher res. Still wondering how much it would cost to upgrade the whole thing.

RVC is federally mandated as standard equipment

Nope, it's the rear (backup) camera that is mandated, the electronic rearview mirror replacement isn't.

That assumes people want to use a smart device with possibly several button pushes instead of just pushing a button in the car. No thanks. I'm tired to getting pushed to use technology that I don't want.

What's wrong with the 6l80 ? Its proven itself to be a solid trans that holds up to pretty good horsepower. Sure there has been a few instances but its proven to be pretty stout.
