You are not parked on a hill are you? Could just be jammed by the weight of the car against the parking pawl.

I mean its slightly on a slope but cant be that its even less than your typical driveway slope.. My buddy said to check the fuse for the taillights but i dont have a manual of course can sombody tell me what fuse that would be?

I do not have an automatic. But dont most have a small cover near the shifter that covers a key hole? This can be used to unlock the shifter.

Go here to find your manual. https://my.chevrolet.com/learn

There is a manual release in the console if none of the other ideas work.

Thanks man. Appreciate that. Took the shifter component apart cleaned it up threw a lil wd40 on an eventually got it in reverse, i thought it was just stuck but still took it in to a local shop i always go to and they think its somthing to do with the brake pedal i forget what they said its called but its only $50 i figured it wont hurt.. Part comes in on Tuesday but i was able drive home they said if it happens again to pump on the break pedal to get it out of park... Well see i guess.. Thanks guys
