Well gents it has been a long time coming but my shop is sponsoring a track rental at Royal Purple Raceway this coming Wednesday. Other than the car needs an oil change, everything is currently fixed and the car is running well.
I will be shooting for the 10.1 second manual trans record, but honestly, I hope to dip into the 9's if I can get a decent take-off and hit my shifts. Guess we will see. There have been a LOT of changes since my 10.5 sec run two years ago. If you take the time to peruse this thread from the beginning you will see them all noted somewhere. Here are the major changes: 1. Maggie to F-1X Procharger (limited to 16 psi by suction restrictor) 795 hp to 925 hp 2. Brodix Heads 3. 15" conversion with 325 M/T ET Streets 4. 4.11 gear changed to 3.70 5. Centerforce clutch replaced with McLeod RXT HD 6. Level VII RPM TR6060 7. Fore twin pump setup with ID 1700X injectors So I am hoping these changes will get me .5 sec quicker. Unfortunately, the driver hasn't changed and it has been 2 yrs since I made a successful run at the track (tried earlier this year but sheared the blower belt) so I guess we will see what happens. I will give an update on Wednesday if all goes as planned.

Yes, I want to get one decent run with restrictor in so that may take a couple of runs since my first run always sux.
After that I intend to pull the restrictor and see what it will do. It is hard to imagine what this car would be like with an additional ~300 hp if I ever go with an LSX block so the F-1X can really be used.

Well bummer we lost a couple days of postings but things happen.
Just to recap. This past Wednesday G-Force Motorsports sponsored a track rental and I made 3 runs with the F-1X suction limiter in, with the best of those runs being 10.135 @ 143 mph. Unfortunately my 60' was not so good which was mostly due to my take-off inexperience because the trap speed of 143 is definitely good enough to be in the 9's. 10.135 Time Slip.pdf We then pulled the restriction limiter to pick up an additional ~ 125 hp and I popped the blower cog belt. The new cage did it's job to protect the hood but it forced the belt downward which sliced through the bottom radiator hose, so I was done for the day. I may or may not try again before the end of the year to break into the 9's but my 10.135 time was just good enough to edge TOSTO Racing (10.148) for 1st place on the M6 Street Registered list, plus I cracked the Power Adders - Stock Displacement list too! I doubt this will last long with a number of others coming behind me gunning for bear (RealQuick, Fifth Gen Power, Sherman, etc.). Going in to this project which started 1 1/2 years ago, one of the goals with the F-1X was to improve on trap speed over the Maggie which pretty much laid over on the top end. My best trap speed with the Maggie was 134 mph, and with the F-1X throttled with a restriction limiter and smallest bottom pulley it went 143 mph. The F-1X pulled like a freight train all the way to the finish line so, mission accomplished!

When you feel the car skating a bit through 3rd gear and your azz is planted in the seat with the guard rail zipping past on one side and all you can say to yourself is "just hang with me baby" till you finally are able to let off the accelerator and begin to slow down, then maybe I am getting too old for this. Yes Sir, it was a fun ride all right! With that 143 mph, if I ever do hit a take-off AND my shifts, then no telling what the 9.X time slip would be (even with the limiter it), however I am finding it is much easier said that done with a manual. And yes, it leaves me wondering what an extra 125 hp would do to make up for my lousy take-off's
