Confused about what - if any - ground effects packages came on my 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS?
I have a 2010 2SS/RS that I'm trying to identify some parts on.
The only "ground effect" I see is the "front splitter". Was is an option to only have the "front splitter" or was that only included as part of a larger ground effects package? Also, I noticed it appears that only argent (#20979252) was available in 2010, however, additional colors became available in 2011. Claret (#22745057) Yellow (#22745063) Orange (#22745056) Silver (#22745058) White (#22745061) Red (#22745062) Black (#22745060) Was the front splitter only available in non-color matching in 2010, and then in 2011 color matched options were made available? Unfortunately, I can't take a picture of the splitter as it was damaged and lost (which is why I'm looking to replace). Last edited by JemSS; 06-17-2020 at 05:04 AM. |

Ground effects kits were an option. I purchased mine after I bought the car, had them painted to match and then installed. My kit was for the front splitter, side rockers and rear diffuser. Classic industries still has them in their catalog. Not sure if that answers your question, but here's a couple pictures of mine, so you can see what the OEM kit looks like. There are other GFX kits out there to chose from as well, so look around. You might find one you like better.

Thanks! When you ordered, was it possible to order just the front splitter, or did the splitter only come as part of a larger package?

I honestly couldn't say because I was buying the entire set and didn't ask. Someone else here on the forum might be able to answer that question. Check Classic Industries or Phastek. I know they sell spoilers individually.

Also check with RPI Designs, they sell splitters and spoilers separate, and paint matched if you wanted. Got my Z28 splitter from them.

The ground effects kit (GFX) was a dealer installed option for 2010-2012. You could also buy the kit from a dealer and install yourself. It came unpainted in argent. I do remember seeing prepainted kits later on. The SS and V6 cars had different splitters, the rest of the kit was the same. I never saw GM or any retailers selling individual parts of the kit separately. People started selling individual parts from the kit, that’s where I got a couple of splitters from. The kit is discontinued from GM. They are getting hard to find now, especially with the hardware kit for the splitter.
