Attn cranberry and north of the city people. I need help looking for property in the beaver,butler county areas. Im looking to move from the s hills to seneca vally,hopewell,central valley area. My work is off of camp horn rd and i. Trying to stay right at 1/2 hour travel. (i can work 18 hr days and dont need an hr travel ontop of that) And theseparticular school districts are some of the better. Im looking in the .5-2 acre lot area, kind of flat or slight slope. Can be wooded. I have no problem deforresting a nice property.
Im in the process of having a custom home bui,der price me out a smaller 2 story house with a big garage attached. The garage will be 26x42. Its hard to find property.

I think it's a bit of a wash when looking at taxes vs. real estate values. While it's been 3 years since we were looking, the equivalent home in Allegheny may have had higher taxes (compared to Butler); however, the price was less.
Personally, I'd not let that be a factor in where to purchase as it'll only be a matter of time that taxes increase in Butler (SV and Mars, anyway). Further, if kids aren't in anyone's picture, Beaver would be a no-brainer. It's crazy how values plummet when one crosses the imaginary line.
