Yeah, sounds like you need someone with a little more tuning knowledge to tune your car.

speed inc is hit or miss with tunes I have seen. Glad you mentioned it happens with TC off. I dont know how many times I have gone WOT and the TC light comes on and it does exactly what you are saying.

Are you just taking traction off? or stability as well?

I have taken both off, traction and stability. One thing I didn't notice is if the traction control light comes on when this happens even if the nannies are off. I will pay more attention to that.

Edit: I guess if the nannies are off then the lights will be on. I meant that I should check to see if the lights stay on.

Thanks, I've heard of them and may consider using them once I get that cam installed.

Good luck with the car Tom @ Speed Inc. has pretty good service if you reach out to him. I'm going to have them tune my car been using them since 2000. I'm not planning to change the shift tables but do plan to dial back torque management and increase shift firmness.

Any threads on adaptive learning, very interested.

Yeah I think overall Speedinc has a good reputation and they have been tuning cars for a long time. I'm just not sure if they are the best choice for autos.

one thing to make sure is that the engine tune is correct due to the a6 tranys are torque biased controlled meaning if the engine is giving the tranny incorect tq numbers the tranny will act accordinly to those incorrect numbers,

here is a quick little rundown on these controllers

Jay, I checked out your site and I wish you were closer to me. I would have you tune my car. That is some great info about calibrating transmissions you provided in your link. Thanks for sharing!
