Pfadt rear end upgrade
Following are pics of some Pfadt upgraded goodness!!! Spent all day Saturday a few weeks ago with a couple friends and installed:
Rear trailing arms/bushings Toe rod arms/bushings Differential bushings Solid subframe bushings Already had installed: Solid motor mounts Front and rear sways with adjustable end links 1.25" drop springs Took her out today for a little leg stretching since getting her aligned after the install. WOW!!!  So much better and stable now that the rear has been blessed by Pfadt!!  Very direct feel of power hitting the ground instead of hopping and stepping out to the right like she did prior to the install. I've picked up a bit of vibration around 2500rpm but I'm attributing that to the solid motor mounts. Nothing bad, but just enough to notice a difference over the stock setup. To me this is a sports/muscle car and I don't expect it to ride like a luxury car anyway. I like the feel of the road!! Can't wait for the upcoming Spring to get some more miles and hopefully some track time. The car definitely feels much more 'planted' to the ground now when nailing the throttle! Too bad all these beautiful components are under the car where no one can see them: |

Thanks! I found the tunnel brace from a member on here that is selling them. Momentum Autosports. It's a very nice piece and was only $60 shipped. As an added bonus the color very closely matches all the Pfadt goodies!!

Great Setup! Glad you're enjoying the new parts, the solid subframe mounts really do make a huge difference in how the Camaro launches.
By the way, sweet tunnel brace. Orange is looking good under there! |

In my last car, I replaced the motor mounts to solid motor mounts as well...holy crap did the car vibrate at low RPMs! But the car launches soooo much more stable. Totally worth it! It just gets tiring explaining why my car makes that noise to guests. hahah

Nice! Give the motor mounts some time to "break in" and they won't be quite as bad, although you'll still see some vibration at low rpms. If you haven't done so already, replace the trans fluid with Royal Purple SynchroMax, and the diff fluid with Royal Purple MaxGear 75w90. The gear noise level will drop considerably and the drivetrain will operate with less resistance.

The rear suspension parts weren't too bad. I did have a lift and tranny jack that were a big help. Also had two friends spend the whole day with me and we were able to complete the whole project in one 10hr day. Removing the stock bushings was the biggest PITA we had to deal with. Heres a time lapse of our mod day!! |
