10.5" wheel width question
Does anyone have pics of 10.5" wide wheel on the rear of their car? I've been looking at wheels for a while now and came across some that have that width, but makes me a little nervous that the wheel will stick out past the fender. The max width I've been looking at is 10" and feel thats pretty maxxed out for fender clearance. Opinions? I know the offset would make a big difference too and they have a +20 for the rear. Also, what size tire are you running and any fender rub? Thanks for the help!

A 10 or 10.5 wide wheel with +20 offset mounted in the rear will stick out past the fender. A typical offset for an 11" rear wheel is +42 to +48.

I have 11's on mine fitted with 315's in the rear and no clearance or rubbing issues, I forget the offset numbers but I'll check and edit this post with them. suspension is stock.

Even a 9 inch wheel will stick out past the fender if the offset is wrong. Stick with a reputable vendor (Nineball) and you won't have to worry about your tires sticking out. 20 x 9 in fron, 20 x 11 in back.

Couldn't agree more. A reputable vendor will know the correct offset. As will a good manufacturer. FWIW, Forgeline has the wheel fitment on the 5th Gen nailed. 9.5 on the front and 11 in the rear on mine. No rubbing and they don't stick out.

Check my thread. 10.5 all around, 315 on the rear, 295 up front. The wheels stick out about a centimeter. And IMO, they look fantastic on the 5th gen. A little poke looks EFFIN awesome, plus the car handles like a porsche now lol.

I've just started looking into mini-tubbing. I want to do it purely for looks and I was initially going to spend the money on a supercharger, but I'll never use the extra hp.

I believe the ZL1 is running 11" in the back - so if the back spacing is correct it can be done.
